Oakwood is active in its fundraising efforts which are supported by the Parent Service Auxiliary. There are several ways that families can donate to Oakwood.
Unlike most other schools, all funds donated to Oakwood go to enhancing the school and its programs, not to pay for the school base operations. All donated funds (unless otherwise restricted by the donor) go to one of the five funds of the Oakwood Annual Giving Funds.
Annual Giving is the heart of the school's fundraising efforts in which every family is asked to provide an annual donation to the school. All donations through Annual Giving are used for one of the five Annual Giving Funds, each supporting one of the five specific areas of focus at the school. Proceeds from the school's special events also go to support these funds.

In addition to the Annual Giving Program, Oakwood also has successful fundraising events. They include:
Oakwood Fund Run
In the spring of each school year, the students participate in their annual fundraiser, the Oakwood Fund Run. This is the students opportunity to ask family and friends to sponsor them as participants in this event. Proceeds go to one (or more) of the five Oakwood Annual Funds.
Each year Oakwood holds an online auction to support fundraising efforts.

Many Oakwood families and their friends work for companies that offer a matching gift program. These programs vary from company to company, but generally they will match some portion of their employees donations to qualified charitable institutions such as schools. As an accredited school and a not-for-profit public benefit corporation, Oakwood qualifies for nearly every corporate matching program.
