Mariela Ruelas is thrilled to begin her second year as a junior kindergarten assistant teacher at Oakwood School. With six years of experience in the child care field, including a role as a special needs paraeducator for the Gilroy Unified School District, she continues to bring a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her classroom. Ms. Mariela holds a certificate in Early Child Development and Educational Studies from Gavilan College. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and new puppy. She also enjoys watching her son play baseball, and exploring the outdoors. She looks forward to another year of growth and embracing "The Oakwood Way!"
