As Director of College Counseling, Kevin Krasnow is committed to helping Oakwood students discover and embrace their authentic selves while navigating the college application process with confidence. He guides students in reflecting on their educational goals, developing thoughtful college lists, and creating applications that highlight their unique qualities, interests, and strengths.

Before joining Oakwood School, Kevin served as Director of College Counseling at Waldorf School of the Peninsula in Mountain View. Prior to that, he spent 15 years as an Assistant Director of Admissions at American University and also worked as a Regional Admissions Counselor at Colorado State University. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he double majored in political science and journalism.

A native of Rockville, Maryland, Kevin enjoys attending concerts, cheering on his favorite sports teams, exploring the Bay Area food scene, traveling, and hiking in his free time.
