
Kevin "Kevin" Krasnow
As Director of College Counseling, Kevin Krasnow strives to ensure Oakwood students feel empowered to become their authentic selves and to stand out during the college application process. His goal is to guide students in reflecting on their educational goals, creating a tailored list of schools, and crafting an application that highlights the applicant's unique qualities, interests, and strengths. Prior to coming to Oakwood School, he served as Director of College Counseling at Waldorf School of the Peninsula in Mountain View. Also, he was an Assistant Director of Admissions at American University for 15 years and a Regional Admissions Counselor at Colorado State University. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in political science and journalism. He grew up in Rockville, Maryland. In his spare time, Mr. Krasnow enjoys attending concerts, rooting for his favorite sports teams, exploring the Bay Area food scene, traveling, and hiking.
