Melinda Merten is the Lower School Curriculum Lead at Oakwood School, where she oversees curriculum development and supports teachers across the Lower School. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and holds a California Multiple Subject Credential.

Mrs. Merten joined the Oakwood family in 1999 and has enjoyed being a part of the school’s growth and development over the years. When she is not at school, she loves hiking, visiting national parks, and traveling to Hawaii. However, her favorite thing of all is spending time with her two grandchildren.
