Marisa Hare (she/her) is serving her 19th year at Oakwood School as the middle school history teacher; 8th grade Advisor; and middle school council Advisor. She graduated from UC Davis and was immediately offered a partnership in the bustling restaurant industry. She opened and managed two restaurants in Davis, California, and Marbella, Spain. She began her career in education in the public school sector, working alongside her favorite middle school history teacher at Herman Intermediate in San Jose. Ms. Hare came to Oakwood in 2005 after spending a year teaching in England. She has a keen interest in design and the arts, but her greatest love is in the vintage clothing industry which she has been collecting since the 1980s. Ms. Hare received her Bachelor of Arts in English with an interest in History and Design. Her greatest passion will always be her students and the planet Earth!
