Melissa Call was raised on the East Coast and was educated at the University of Hull, England and the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where she double majored in English with an emphasis on Creative Writing and German Language, History, and Literature. Mrs. Call received a Master of Arts in English and Writing from Hollins College and a Master of Fine Arts in Professional Writing from the University of Southern California. She completed the post-grad teacher education program at California State University, Monterey Bay and possesses a Single Subject Teaching Credential in 6-12 English and German. When she isn't teaching, Mrs. Call writes MG and YA contemporary and historical fiction and loves spending time with her son, Kingston, hiking at Quicksilver, and exploring new places.
