Dawn Lyle teaches Elementary Technology classes and coaches FIRST robotics at Oakwood School. Through her class teaching computer and pre-engineering skills, she hopes for students to challenge themselves and recognize that they can accomplish difficult tasks. Prior to teaching, she was a prolific Oakwood parent volunteer and served multiple years as Parent Service Auxiliary Coordinator, Auction Co-Chair, and Room Representative. Mrs. Lyle earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University and served as President of the local chapter of the Pi Tau Sigma Mechanical Engineering honor society. She has worked extensively on product design in both mechanical and electrical contexts with experience in the design, analysis, testing, and manufacturing of industrial, consumer, medical, and aerospace products. Mrs. Lyle holds an (airplane single-engine land) private pilot license and enjoys baking, playing video games, and interesting-yet-relaxing vacations.
