Michael Helvey is Oakwood’s Director of Information Security, where he helps protect the school’s systems and data. A member of the Oakwood community since its founding in 1998, Michael was part of the first graduating high school class and is now a parent of three Oakwood students. He earned a B.S. in Information Systems and a Master’s in Information Systems Management from Brigham Young University. Before returning to Oakwood, Michael worked in technology and process improvement at a software company and as a systems consultant at PwC, serving dozens of Bay Area organizations. Outside of work, he enjoys playing all sports with his kids and coaching their teams, cheering on the 49ers and BYU football, and spending time with his wife and kids.
