Ashleigh Wood is the Student Support and Wellness Counselor working with Upper School students and families in grades 6-12. She offers support with mental health and wellness, learning accommodations, and testing, ensuring every student has the tools they need to thrive at Oakwood. Mrs. Wood will partner closely with students, teachers, and parents to navigate academic, social, and personal challenges that arise throughout the year. Mrs. Wood encourages students and parents to reach out or stop by her office in room 43.
Mrs. Wood brings over 10 years of experience as a therapist and school counselor to this role. In what seems like a different life, she taught science to students in grades 5–12. She’s a National Board Certified School Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, #162880). Outside of work, Mrs. Wood enjoys gardening, baking with dark chocolate, and bike riding with her husband, their three young children, and their husky, Juno.
