Mrs. Ashleigh "Ashleigh" Wood

Ashleigh

Ashleigh Wood is excited to join the Oakwood faculty this year as the new Student Support and Wellness Counselor! She’ll be working with Upper School students and families, offering support with mental health and wellness, learning accommodations, and testing supports, ensuring every student has the tools they need to thrive at Oakwood. Mrs. Wood will partner closely with students, teachers, and parents to navigate academic, social, and personal challenges that arise throughout the year.

Mrs. Wood brings over 10 years of experience as a therapist and school counselor, and previously taught science to students in grades 5–12. She’s a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), and holds her School Counseling credentials (PPS) in both CA and TN.

Outside of work, Mrs. Wood enjoys gardening, baking with dark chocolate, and spending time with her husband, their three young children, and their husky, Juno.
