Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are now open!

Start an application by clicking the link below and creating an account. The deadline to apply for the 2025-2026 school year is Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

Once you submit an application, you will receive an email with access to your personalized admissions checklist. Be sure to complete all the steps on your checklist, and please reach out to our Admissions Team if you have any questions. We look forward to partnering with your family through these next steps.

Important Dates and Deadlines

January 8, 2025 - Application and scholarship deadline for the 2025-2026 school year

January 25, 2025 - Oakwood admissions exam (applicants to 6-12th Grade)

January 31, 2025 - Financial Aid application deadline

February 1, 2025 - Academic records/teacher recommendations deadline

February 8-13, 2025 - Student admissions interviews (via Zoom, applicants to 6-12th Grade)

Applicants who apply by the January 8 deadline will receive their admissions decision via email at 5:00pm on Friday, March 14, 2025.

Application Requirements

Preschool/Junior Kindergarten

Kindergarten

Online admissions application ($100 fee^)*
Upload student photo*
Meet age requirements (kindergarten students must be 5 years old by November 30)*
Teacher recommendation*
Assessment appointment with an Oakwood teacher
Parent interview with the Lower School Head & Principal

*Please note that applicants to Kindergarten must have these items submitted in order to schedule an assessment appointment and parent interview, so we encourage you to submit these items as soon as possible.

1st Grade

Student Essay Questions form completed (applicants to 4th and 5th Grade)*
Student Shadow Visit - one day visit in an Oakwood class
Parent interview with the Lower School Head & Principal

*Please note that applicants to 2nd-5th Grade must have these items submitted in order to schedule a shadow visit and parent interview, so we encourage you to submit these items as soon as possible.

6th – 8th Grade (Middle School)

One teacher recommendation (second teacher recommendation is optional)
Academic transcripts (two years plus current year grades as available)
Admissions exam hosted at Oakwood's campus on January 25, 2025
Students may submit the ISEE in lieu of Oakwood's entrance exam. Scores must be received by February 15, 2025.
Student Admissions Interview (via Zoom)

9th – 12th Grade (High School)

International Students

Oakwood School welcomes applications from students outside the United States, and appreciates the diversity that these students bring. In order to ensure the best possible program for these students and their families, Oakwood has partnered with Cambridge Network. The Cambridge Networks’s international student program prepares students for life abroad prior to arriving at Oakwood and continues to provide international students and their families with on-going support throughout the school year.
