Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are now open!

Start an application by clicking the link below and creating an account. Oakwood School is accepting applications for all grade levels on a rolling basis.

Once you submit an application, you will receive an email with access to your personalized admissions checklist. Important Dates and Deadlines

April 2, 2025 - Middle School admissions and scholarship application deadline

Oakwood is accepting applications for all grade levels for the 2025-2026 school year.

Applicants who applied by January 8 will receive their admissions decision via email at 5:00pm on Friday, March 14, 2025. Applications received after this date will receive an admissions decision on a rolling basis.

Application Requirements

Preschool/Junior Kindergarten

Kindergarten

Online admissions application ($100 fee^)*
Upload student photo*
Meet age requirements (kindergarten students must be 5 years old by November 30)*
Teacher recommendation*
Assessment appointment with an Oakwood teacher
Parent interview with the Lower School Head & Principal

*Please note that applicants to Kindergarten must have these items submitted in order to schedule an assessment appointment and parent interview, so we encourage you to submit these items as soon as possible.

1st Grade

2nd – 5th Grade

Student Essay Questions form completed (applicants to 4th and 5th Grade)*
Student Shadow Visit - one day visit in an Oakwood class
Parent interview with the Lower School Head & Principal

*Please note that applicants to 2nd-5th Grade must have these items submitted in order to schedule a shadow visit and parent interview, so we encourage you to submit these items as soon as possible.

6th – 8th Grade (Middle School)

One teacher recommendation (second teacher recommendation is optional)
Academic transcripts (two years plus current year grades as available)
Admissions exam hosted at Oakwood's campus on January 25, 2025
Students may submit the ISEE in lieu of Oakwood's entrance exam. Scores must be received by February 15, 2025.
Student Admissions Interview (via Zoom)

9th – 12th Grade (High School)

Online admissions application ($100 fee^)

International Students

Oakwood School welcomes applications from students outside the United States, and appreciates the diversity that these students bring. In order to ensure the best possible program for these students and their families, Oakwood has partnered with Cambridge Network. The Cambridge Networks’s international student program prepares students for life abroad prior to arriving at Oakwood and continues to provide international students and their families with on-going support throughout the school year.
