Oakwood provides merit scholarships to new students entering grades 6 through 11 for academic excellence, outstanding citizenship, and positive contribution to the school and community. Scholarships are merit-based and not need-based. Currently enrolled Oakwood students are not eligible to apply for merit scholarships.
The Oakwood Scholarship Program is designed to make it possible for top students to attend Oakwood. Scholarships are granted by recommendation of the Scholarship Committee, after interviews with the candidates and review of their qualifications. Scholarship applications are accepted for students who are new to the school, and are submitted as part of the Admissions application. Applications submitted by the deadline receive full consideration and all awards are confidential.
Criteria:
- Outstanding academic standing and citizenship record at current school
- Extracurricular activities with a positive contribution to the school or community
- Apply for admission and merit scholarship by Wednesday, January 8, 2025 (high school) or Wednesday, April 2, 2025 (middle school)
Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $16,000 per year, and recipients complete a renewal process annually.
