I believe a memory of Oakwood that will stay with me forever has to be my experiences as a student athlete. I was afforded the opportunity to be a co-captain for the Oakwood soccer and tennis teams. The competitive nature and emotions of sports create memories that are hard to forget. I had the pleasure of sharing these memories with fantastic teammates and some of my best friends. We still have laughs between ourselves and with the faculty at Oakwood about our sports games and the enjoyment we had playing and watching those games during our time at Oakwood. Looking back on the time I had as a student athlete made my time at Oakwood such an enjoyable experience because I was able to play a sport I love and enjoy it alongside my best friends. In my opinion, it is hard to beat that experience, and we had so much fun!

Now, touching on my advice to current Oakwood students, would be to try all different things at Oakwood, you never know what you will enjoy. I didn't think I would like tennis! Furthermore, Oakwood provided an education and an environment that prepared me as an individual to pursue my own goals in college and beyond. Oakwood allowed me to be myself and meet my best friends whom I still keep in contact with today. I am very thankful for Oakwood and the people who helped me get to where I am today.

Currently, I work with my family as a dentist in South San Jose. I always try to come back to visit Oakwood and give my time to the students and the community.
