Josh Escover '18

Josh Escover '18 grew up dancing at Lana’s Dance Studio in Morgan Hill & Gilroy for 15 years training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary & Hip Hop. He's still very much connected and choreographs for Lana's to this day. It has truly been a full circle moment, from growing up training at the studio to teaching for them now. His excellent work habits and drive got him into nearly every college he applied to; catching the eyes of many prestigious dance programs along the way. 

Chapman University offered Josh a huge scholarship for his dance ability and impressive high school accolades he achieved while attending Oakwood. He graduated from college with a BFA in dance performance and a minor in business administration. 

Shortly after graduation Josh decided to make the move to the East Coast landing in the dance mecca of NYC. In his brief time there, Josh has already compiled an impressive resume to date. Most recently he performed at the VMA Awards in September apart of the Katy Perry performance while she was being honored as their Video Vanguard Award winner for her career. Currently he is staring in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular Show that runs till January 2025; beating out hundreds who auditioned for a male ensemble dancer role. One of the most prestigious roles you can have on your resume.  

The future continues to look bright for this incredible young man and we are honored to have him apart of our Oakwood family.
