I am a 2021 graduate from University College Maastricht in the Netherlands which was a program that took a student-centered approach to higher education, in which students take control of both what they study and how they study it, so that they can cultivate their own agency. I achieved an Honors degree with a concentration in the social sciences and multidisciplinary background in business, development studies, and history. I am interested in social and sustainable development which motivates me to be part of an organization that works with a social mission and to advance contemporary challenges.
I have a multicultural international background having lived and traveled abroad both as adult and child, which has only furthered my passion and interest for culture and history. My current role at Oakwood is as a high school history teacher in US History and World Cultures/History (Juniors and Freshmen). The best and most special part of my role is being able to connect with and understand students outside of the academic material and then utilize those relationships to work toward more positive outcomes in class.
