Third Grade Students Venture to the Marine Science Institute

Oakwood third-grade students recently ventured to the Marine Science Institute. The class spent the day participating in engaging and interactive hands-on adventures to learn about San Francisco Bay Area marine life. The students collected various fish from the Bay and identified their characteristics while learning about each animal's adaptations and roles in the ecosystem. From petting leopard sharks to dredging the mud from the bottom of the Bay, this was an excellent opportunity to connect with their in-class geography studies of waterways and their knowledge of vertebrates in science!
