Author Nedda Lewers Inspires Young Writers at Oakwood School

Oakwood School 3rd - 5th grade students recently had the opportunity to learn about the writing and publishing process from visiting author Nedda Lewers. Lewers is the creator of the highly acclaimed fantasy novel Daughters of the Lamp and is currently at work on its much-anticipated sequel. During her visit, she shared insights into her creative journey, from developing story ideas to working with editors and illustrators. Students were eager to ask questions and engage with Lewers about her experiences as a writer. As a special surprise, each student received a signed copy of Daughters of the Lamp, a gift that left many young readers feeling inspired to create stories of their own.
