Boys Basketball vs. Girls Volleyball: A Fun Oakwood Tradition

For more than 15 years, Oakwood High School has continued a fun tradition in which the boys basketball team faces the girls varsity volleyball team in a friendly volleyball match in front of the entire student body. The gym was packed with excitement as students and teachers filled the bleachers, cheering loudly as both teams warmed up.

The boys came in with confidence and energy, but the volleyball girls quickly showed their experience with fast serves, clean passes, and powerful hits. The game was full of funny moments and wild rallies, especially as the basketball boys tried to figure out rotations and ran around the court trying to keep the ball up. Despite their tough hits and serves, they couldn’t match the volleyball team’s skill and chemistry.

This year, the girls varsity volleyball team won in two straight sets to 15, earning loud applause and keeping their winning streak alive!
