Oakwood High School Boys Varsity Soccer has earned a prestigious opportunity next season, receiving an invitation to compete in the Annual Silicon Valley Christmas Cup—one of the region's premier high school soccer showcases.

While Santa Teresa High School is hosting the event for just the second year, the tournament itself carries a rich and proud 33-year tradition, making it a highly respected competition across the Central Coast Section (CCS). The Silicon Valley Christmas Cup brings together top varsity programs from throughout the region, offering a competitive and high-level environment for teams to test themselves against elite opposition.

The tournament features a multi-site format across the area and guarantees each varsity team four games, providing valuable experience and exposure for participating student-athletes. In its inaugural year under Santa Teresa's leadership, the event was a tremendous success, featuring 26 varsity teams from across the CCS—setting a strong foundation for continued growth and prestige.

Tournament Schedule:

  • Saturday, December 5
  • Thursday, December 10 (Weeknight match – host opportunities available for schools with turf and lights)
  • Saturday, December 12
  • Saturday, December 19

For Oakwood, this invitation is a reflection of the program's continued rise and commitment to excellence. Competing in an event of this caliber not only highlights the team's development but also provides a meaningful opportunity for players to showcase their skills, build team chemistry, and compete against some of the best talent in the region.
