Celebrating Diversity and Belonging in 4th Grade

Fourth grade celebrated this month's Dignity theme, "You Belong." The students explored the meaning of dignity, discussing how it is something everyone is born with. They read You Really, Truly Do Belong by Gina Casazza and reflected on how everyone belongs at Oakwood, emphasizing the importance of celebrating differences. Afterward, they made entries in their Dignity Journals, highlighting the unique qualities that make each of them special. The activity concluded with students sharing their reflections and celebrating the diversity within their classroom community.
