Cross Country Meet Recap: Palo Corona in Carmel on 9/12

The Oakwood High School Cross County team recently participated in a meet at Palo Corona in Carmel. The Varsity Boys team showcased their determination and skill, finishing 2nd overall. Leading the charge, Dillon Hall secured a fantastic 4th place, with Luke Hansotte hot on his heels, securing the 5th position. The teamwork and effort extended far beyond these two standouts, with key contributions from Max Weltchek, Arnav Praveen, Porter Banks, Carter Thornton, and Brendan Lyle, who all played pivotal roles in achieving the stellar team result.

The Varsity Girls team, unfortunately, couldn't form a complete team, which means they didn't receive a team score. Nevertheless, they raced with unwavering determination. Sofia Hunt finished a strong 13th, Mariami Diakonidze claimed the 21st position, and Amelia Pedler was hot on her heels in 22nd place. Their individual efforts deserve much applause.

The JV Boys team also turned in an amazing performance. While there wasn't a team score, the results spoke for themselves. Lucas Tompkins showed his mettle, crossing the finish line in first place. Adhrit Sinha wasn't far behind, claiming a respectable 7th position. These young athletes demonstrated tremendous potential and promise for the future of the team.

There is incredible talent on the team, and there's no doubt there will be more impressive results in the upcoming meets.
