Oakwood Middle School 8th grade Physical Science students were challenged to construct a bridge out of a single sheet of paper that could support the weight of 100 pennies. Students were allowed to fold or cut the paper in any way they liked, but were not allowed to use adhesives or tape. Many designs were successfully constructed that were able to support 100 pennies (and more!) over a gap of 15 centimeters.
