Eighth Grade Students Walk the Halls of American History on East Coast Trip

Oakwood Middle School's 8th grade students embarked on an unforgettable journey to Boston, New York City, and Washington DC that brought history to life in a way that no textbook ever could. As students explored Boston, they walked the Freedom Trail and stood in places where the foundations of American independence were laid. In New York City, they experienced the energy and diversity of one of the world's most iconic cities while visiting landmarks that reflect both the nation's past and present. The trip culminated in the Washington DC metropolitan area, where students toured monuments, museums, and government buildings, connecting their classroom studies to the real workings of American democracy. Students not only expanded their historical knowledge but also built lasting memories, strengthened friendships, and developed a greater sense of curiosity about the world around them.
