Oakwood High School 11th grade students shared personal insights through TED Talks in preparation for responding to college essay prompts. Topics spanned a wide range of interests and passions, reflecting the diverse perspectives of the class. Kelly Kobata spoke on overcoming procrastination, Porter Banks on the importance of sleep, Michael Pereira on the value of TED Talks themselves, and Lara Merghani on why everyone should learn to cook. Nick Nie explored the importance of human connections, Allister Burk tackled construction on Santa Teresa, Paisley Coffey addressed construction on Hale, Logan Clink made the case that failure is essential to success, and Noah Lopez called on peers to be good citizens. Together, the presentations showcased the thoughtfulness and confidence that define Oakwood's student voice.
