First Grade Discovers the Wonders of Natural Bridges

Oakwood School's 1st Grade enjoyed a field trip to Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz on March 13. Students learned about sea creatures and how to care for them, and some parents even volunteered to "act" like some of the creatures! The class then took a jaunt and explored tidepools, spotting sea anemones, sea stars, urchins, snails, hermit crabs, seagulls, surfers, and much more. Students enjoyed a well-deserved lunch and ended the trip by yelling "honk it!" at every bus and car that drove by. The students were blessed with glorious weather and had a wonderful time!
