From Potions to Pizza: Auction Parties Delight Students

One of the most popular parts of this year's Oakwood School Online Auction was the selection of faculty-hosted parties. These special experiences gave students the chance to spend time with their favorite teachers outside the classroom and make memories with friends. Oakwood's youngest Hawks enjoyed a Teddy Bear Picnic with Mrs. Mendoza and Mrs. Shales and an Enchanted Tea Party with Ms. Christine, complete with plenty of imagination, conversation, and fun. Students also got creative at Ms. Pompa's Makerspace Party, where they turned everyday materials into unique projects and discoveries. The adventure continued with Mrs. Shales on a Quest for Oakwood's Hidden Treasures, sending students on a campus-wide hunt filled with clues and excitement. Ms. Pompa's Harry Potter Potions Party once again cast its spell on students as they mixed, experimented, and embraced their inner wizard.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Sanchez and Mrs. Schulz hosted a Pizza Party Extravaganza that combined great food, games, and lots of laughter. The K-8 Ice Cream Social with Mrs. Shales and Dr. Watson brought students from across grade levels together for a sweet afternoon of treats and connection. For those who love to move, Coach Sugai's All-Star Sports Party featured friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of energy, while Coach Prudencio's Middle School Girls Volleyball Party allowed student-athletes to spend time together, sharpen their skills, and simply have fun.

These parties have become a cherished part of the auction because they capture something that makes Oakwood so special: the relationships between students and faculty. Oakwood is incredibly grateful to the teachers and staff who generously shared their time and talents to create experiences students will be talking about long after the school year ends.

Their support not only made these memorable experiences possible for students but also helped advance the success of the auction and strengthen Oakwood's ability to provide exceptional opportunities for every student.
