Hawks Are Back: Oakwood Kicks Off the Year with the Annual Family Social

Oakwood School kicked off the first full week of school with the annual Back-to-School Family Social, welcoming families to campus for a fun-filled evening of community and connection.

The campus buzzed with excitement as families visited with old friends and got to know new ones. Carnival games, obstacle course and jumpy slide inflatables, tasty bites from local food trucks, student fundraisers, and the always-popular cake walk kept the energy high throughout the evening. High school and middle school students cheerfully ran the games, keeping the fun going smoothly all night long.

The Splash Tower was a big hit, as students took aim at the target to douse their favorite teachers, coaches, and staff members with a bucket of water. Another highlight was the surrey, kept in motion by the Boys Basketball players, who spent the evening giving rides to younger students.

A huge thank you to the PSA Board members for their help in making the evening possible, and to the many parent volunteers and those who donated sweet treats for the cake walk. Welcome back, Hawks — here is to a fantastic new school year!
