Holiday Hoopin’: Middle School Girls Basketball Tournament

The Holiday Hoopin’ Tournament was a great way to kick off the holiday break for Oakwood Middle School Girls Basketball. The event brought together five SBAL league teams for a long, fun, and competitive day of basketball.
The Oakwood team was split into two groups—Team Green and Team White. The girls worked incredibly hard throughout the day, often playing back-to-back games and demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and determination. Despite having a small bench rotation, both Oakwood Team Green and Team White battled through fatigue and challenges to earn an impressive second-place finish after combining teams at the end of the tournament.
Special congratulations to Emma P. (7th grade student) and Anika V. (7th grade student), who were named All-Tournament players for their outstanding performance and leadership on the court.
Congratulations as well to Jackson Academy, this year’s tournament champions.
Thank you to the Athletics Department, coaching staff, and Oakwood parents who helped make the tournament such a successful and enjoyable day. Go Hawks!
