Holiday Show Choir Dazzles With Festive Concert

On December 5, the Oakwood School Holiday Show Choir dazzled an audience of friends and family with a festive concert. As part of Oakwood’s after-school program, Mrs. Sorensen has been meeting and practicing with this choir since the beginning of October to learn a variety of holiday songs in anticipation of their concert. The choir opened the show by dancing with red and green scarves as they sang “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” Amongst many other songs, the concert’s highlight was their performance of “Turn Off That Nose,” where the students waved glowing red finger lights as they sang about how bright and blinding Rudolph’s red nose is. The evening concluded with a heartfelt performance of “Somewhere in My Memory,” leaving the audience in a joyful mood and ready to kick off the holiday season.
