Isabelle Anderson Chooses University of the Pacific for Beach Volleyball

Oakwood High School graduate Isabelle Anderson ('26), has announced that she will continue her academic and athletic career at the University of the Pacific, where she will compete in NCAA Division I beach volleyball.

Originally committed elsewhere, Anderson said the decision to change her commitment came after thoughtful reflection and ultimately choosing the school that felt like the best overall fit.

"I had some really great options, and it was a really difficult decision choosing where to go," Anderson said. "It came down to two schools, both with coaches I would have loved being coached by."

In the end, she chose Pacific because it offered the right combination of athletics, academics, and campus culture.

"Ultimately I chose the University of the Pacific. At the end, I felt culturally it fit better and had more of the balance I was looking for," she said. "I would be able to play at a competitive Division I level in the WCC while getting great academics."

Anderson is also excited about the relationships she has already begun building with her future teammates.

"The girls on the team have been welcoming, and we are already planning our first weekend bonding event as a team," she said.

Looking ahead, Anderson is eager to begin the next chapter of both her athletic and academic journey.

"I have really dedicated high school to volleyball and preparing for college," she said. "I am looking forward to this next chapter playing the sport I love, making meaningful connections, and enjoying the journey ahead."

As she joins the Tigers, Anderson will have the opportunity to compete at a high level in the West Coast Conference while pursuing a strong academic experience.
