Kinder Pilgrim Ship-Building Challenge

Oakwood School kindergarten students recently wrapped up their History unit, Exploring and Moving to America, with a hands-on activity inspired by the Pilgrims' journey. The students learned about the Pilgrims and their challenging voyage across the Atlantic. Students were tasked with building their own ships using aluminum foil to bring the lesson to life. The ships were then floated in a "mini Atlantic Ocean" (a bucket of water) to test their strength. The challenge? See how many "Pilgrims" (represented by pennies) each ship could hold before sinking. Can you guess how many Pilgrims our strongest ship carried?
