Oakwood School kindergarten students and their families enjoyed a perfect day at the Monterey Zoo, capping weeks of classroom study on the seven continents of the world. The zoo brought those lessons to life, with students exploring amazing animal exhibits and discovering more about the incredible diversity of wildlife around the globe.

A highlight of the day was a special rainforest exhibit featuring two sloths, snakes from around the world, and a variety of fascinating reptiles. Students also took in spectacular up-close views of African mammals including zebras, rhinos, and lions. After exploring the exhibits, students enjoyed a private picnic area for lunch and open grass fields to play on with friends.

Thank you to all the parent volunteers who joined the class and helped make the day such a memorable one for Oakwood's youngest learners.
