Mayor Mark Turner Explores Arts at Oakwood School: A Visit Filled with Inspiration and Engagement

On Thursday, May 18, Morgan Hill Mayor Mark Turner visited Oakwood School. He had previously attended the Morgan Hill Student Art Show at Colibri Gallery on March 25th, where several high school students won awards, and he expressed interest in learning more about the arts at Oakwood. While on campus, Mr. Turner visited a 2nd-grade art class, a 1st-grade music class, and two high school classes, Studio Art II and Jazz Ensemble. Mr. Turner also attended the closing night of Oakwood’s High School Spring Musical, Beauty and the Beast, on April 1. Morgan Hill is fortunate to have a mayor who takes such an interest in education and the arts, and Oakwood is grateful that he took the time to visit and interact with students.
