Middle School Girls Soccer Season Review
This season, the Oakwood Middle School soccer team had an exceptional group of girls, with a powerful combination of experience and newly acquired skills. The team boasted five 8th graders who brought a wealth of expertise to the field. The 6th graders also showed significant growth in their skill level as the season progressed, especially in ball protection and making passes to open players. The team's impressive decision-making abilities and ball possession skills were unparalleled, causing difficulty for opponents to even cross the ½ field line. The goalie often positioned at the ½ field mark, scored an impressive 5-6 goals during the season. The team's collaborative approach was focused on ensuring every girl had opportunities to score. Once the team had a comfortable lead, they strategically passed the ball around, maintaining control of the game. Overall, the middle school soccer team's collective effort and talent proved to be a force to be reckoned with, leaving an impressive mark on the season with a record of four wins, one loss, and one tie.
