Oakwood Middle School Girls Volleyball Season Off to a Strong Start

Oakwood Middle School Girls Volleyball kicked off their seasons this week with home games against Charter school. 

Coach Cherry was very proud of the 6th/7th Grade Girls White Team players’ exceptional performance, many of whom were stepping onto the volleyball court for the first time. The players displayed impressive hustle and exceptional communication in calling out the ball. The support from fellow teammates, classmates, parents, and teachers was truly heartwarming, as cheers filled the gym. Despite the final score not being in their favor, the team's unwavering dedication shone brightly throughout the game. It was a closely contested match, and the White Team showed tremendous promise.

The 8th Grade Girls Volleyball team opening match resulted in a defeat for the Lady Hawks, and they used it as a valuable learning opportunity to fuel their determination. Undeterred, they returned to the court and secured victories in the subsequent two matches. The final showdowns were nail-biters, with every point fiercely contested, yet the Lady Hawks pulled off wins in both. In the second match, Ria D. dazzled with an impressive streak of serves, showcasing her skill and determination. Meanwhile, in the ultimate match, Camilla M. propelled the Lady Hawks to an early lead that paved the way for their triumphant victory.
