The Oakwood High School Girls Varsity Basketball team earned a dominant 42–10 win over Ceiba College Preparatory Academy on Friday, January 9. The victory extended Oakwood’s winning streak to six games and improved the team’s record to 8–2 overall and 3–0 in league play. Oakwood set the tone early with strong defense and consistent effort. The team created scoring opportunities throughout the game while limiting Ceiba Prep on the defensive end. Offensively, Olivia Wong led the team with 12 points, while Kailee Barlics added 10 points. Oakwood’s balanced scoring helped maintain control from start to finish. Head coach Kort Jensen praised his team’s effort after the game. “I am very proud of the team. They have been working hard and it is great to see their hard work paying off in games,” Jensen said. “We are hoping to keep the momentum going over the remainder of the season.” Senior Arya Vaid also highlighted the team’s chemistry. “I think we played great.
