The Oakwood High School Performing Arts program has once again showcased its excellence with its production of The Wizard of Oz. The performances were outstanding, with several sold-out shows.

Mrs. Blanchard, the Upper School Drama Teacher, did a fantastic job directing the show. This year, the talented cast included 32 high school performers, 22 tech crew members, and 8 backstage helpers. Additionally, 18 elementary and middle school students joined as munchkins and flying monkeys, marking a historic first for our school. Furthermore, the incredible robotic Oz head was mechanically designed and operated by a Freshman student. All 80 students collaborated seamlessly to bring the classic tale to life, with impressive sets, memorable costumes, and impeccable staging. Bravo! You can explore our digital program to meet the remarkable cast & crew members.

The dedication and hard work invested in the production were evident, resulting in an outstanding show. Special thanks to all volunteers who mentored students, designed sets, managed tech, provided nourishment during rehearsals, and facilitated front-of-house operations during shows. Oakwood High School deeply appreciates their invaluable help and support.

Once again, the Oakwood High School Performing Arts program has demonstrated its talent and commitment to the craft. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew for their exceptional performance, and we eagerly anticipate more remarkable productions from Oakwood High School in the future.
