Oakwood Hosts Coyote Valley MathCounts Chapter Competition

On Saturday, February 7, Oakwood School hosted the Coyote Valley Chapter MATHCOUNTS Competition, welcoming students from Britton Middle School, Charter School of Morgan Hill, Jackson Academy of Math and Music, Martin Murphy Middle School, Oakwood School, Solorsano Middle School, and Stanford Online High School. Competitors participated in the Sprint, Target, and Team Rounds, demonstrating focus, perseverance, and teamwork.
Congratulations to all Oakwood Middle School students who participated. Their dedication, preparation, and willingness to stretch themselves in a competitive setting reflect the very best of the math program. Oakwood School is especially proud that 8th grade student Kestin B. and 7th grade student Jackson C. advanced to the Countdown Round, placing among the top individual performers of the day.
Thank you to high school volunteers Evan Gorski and Andrew Maghsoudi, who helped make this exciting celebration of mathematics possible.
