Oakwood School Homecoming 2023, A Time For Celebration

The rain did little to dampen the Hawk spirit as Oakwood High School celebrated its second annual Homecoming week!

Oakwood Homecoming 2023 began with an alumni field day on January 7, as alums and current students competed in volleyball, futsol, and other events before enjoying a BBQ lunch and campus tours. During the week, middle and high school students participated in special spirit wear days, including Twinning Tuesday and Pajama Thursday. The high school students also participated in the Homecoming Oakwood Games throughout the week, including musical chairs, a mural drawing competition, and a basketball showdown.

The competition continued on Friday with the Spirit Rally Assembly, with MS and HS gathering in the Athletic Center to celebrate Fall and Winter athletics and performing arts. The Cheer Team got the crowd into a frenzy, as MS students, HS students, and faculty competed in relays and pop culture trivia. At the conclusion of the Spirit Rally, the Juniors were announced as the winners of this year’s Homecoming Oakwood Games. Thank you to all the faculty, staff, and students who coordinated and participated in this new Oakwood tradition!

The week was concluded with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night, with 120 HS students and guests enjoying a fantastic Vegas-themed night of dancing, games, and delicious food. We hope everyone enjoyed the festivities! Go Hawks!
