On December 13, Oakwood High School sophomore Jett Alexander delivered a standout performance at the 2025 Old Skool Iron Classic powerlifting competition, sponsored by the United States Powerlifting Association (USPA). The event, held in Vacaville, featured lifters from across the region competing in the squat, bench press, and deadlift.

Alexander posted personal records in all three lifts, earning first-place finishes in each event within his age and weight class. His impressive totals included a 292-pound squat, a 143-pound bench press, and a 370-pound deadlift, combining for an 805-pound total.

Perhaps most notable was Alexander’s year-over-year improvement. Since last season, he has increased his overall total by more than 200 pounds—a testament to his dedication, training, and steady development as a young athlete.

With this performance, Alexander also qualified for the USPA Ultra Nationals, set to take place in May, marking another major milestone in his rapidly rising powerlifting career.
