Oakwood Students Excel at HPE Code Wars

Oakwood High School students from Mrs.Wilmot’s AP Computer Science A and Advanced Computer Science classes arrived bright and early on campus Saturday, March 7, to compete in the Virtual Edition of HPE Code Wars, a challenging 3-hour programming competition where teams collaborate to solve complex problems in Java and Python.
Congratulations to the all-girls team of juniors, the Bug Squashers, comprised of Amanda Olson, Laura Nita, and Kate Praserthdam, who earned an impressive 2nd place in the Advanced Division.
Congratulations also to the sophomore team, The Institute, which included Shayan Bahrainy, Tyler Fuller, and Sean Wilmot, who secured 3rd place in the Novice Division.
