Seventh Grade Students Excel Globally in Vocabulary Program

In May 2024, the Oakwood Middle School 7th grade students in Mrs. Lee’s Literature class achieved an impressive milestone by ranking in the top 5% globally on Membean. Membean is a comprehensive vocabulary program that fosters word consciousness through personalized and differentiated instruction tailored to each student's skill level. By emphasizing higher-order thinking over rote memorization, Membean helps students achieve lasting learning outcomes. This program is utilized in more than 2,000 schools across over 30 countries. This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication of Mrs. Lee and her students, highlighting the effectiveness of innovative educational tools like Membean in fostering academic excellence.
