Sixth Grade Students Launch the Year with Bowling and the Hawk Hunt

On Monday, August 24, only the third day of the school year, Oakwood 6th grade students spent the day on their Adventure, an annual Oakwood tradition. Students spent the morning at Morgan Hill Bowl, with some learning how to bowl and others showing off seasoned skills. In all cases, they had fun while supporting each other as they knocked down every bowling pin in their path.

After a pizza lunch back on campus, students formed teams and collaborated on the Hawk Hunt, a campus-wide scavenger hunt. Students honed their communication, planning, and decision-making skills while solving challenges and taking photos of themselves in fun poses.

Throughout the day, students had a great time getting to know each other, having fun, and working together as a team.
