In early April, the Oakwood High School South Asian Students Association hosted a vibrant Holi celebration in the High School quad during lunch. The event highlighted the rich cultural diversity of South Asia with an array of regional dishes, including butter chicken, naan, samosas, basmati rice, traditional sweets, a pani puri stand, mango lassi, and more.

A popular henna station—organized and staffed by Oakwood High School students—offered simple, elegant designs for anyone interested in participating. Many attendees wore traditional South Asian attire, while others joined the fun by borrowing colorful garments from friends to embrace the festive spirit.

Special thanks go to the parent volunteers who generously prepared and donated homemade dishes, helping to make the celebration a joyful, delicious, and memorable experience for the entire Oakwood community.
