Spotlight Gala Honors Theatre Talent and Graduating Seniors
The first-ever Oakwood High School Theatre Arts Spotlight Gala was a beautiful and memorable evening, celebrating the incredible talent and spirit of the school’s theatrical community. Attended by students in grades 9 through 12 and their families, the night featured a mix of live performances, highlight videos, and a range of awards—both heartfelt and humorous—recognizing the outstanding contributions of actors, tech crew, and special individuals. Standout performances included freshman Brennan Klotzbach; dynamic duos Ronan Casey & Klara Klotzbach and Sunjana Banwait & Makena Willis; the Advanced Theatrical Production class; and a surprise solo by stage manager Caitlin Kanazawa. It was a joyful celebration of creativity, community, and the magic of theatre.
Because this is Mrs. Blanchard’s fourth year teaching at the high school level at Oakwood, the Class of 2025 marks her first group of students to graduate. To honor the occasion, she introduced a special candle lighting ceremony to close the evening—an emotional and meaningful tribute to the seniors’ journey and the shared experiences built through theatre.
