Spring Music Concerts Celebrate Creativity, Confidence, and Catchy Tunes
After months of learning and practicing in music class, Oakwood Lower School students took to the stage to perform in their spring music concerts.
First up, Preschool, JrK, and Kindergarten students delighted audiences with their concert Awesome Animals. Dressed in handmade animal necklaces, they sang songs such as “The Cow Says Meow,” “Slippery Fish,” and “Elephants Have Wrinkles.”
Next, 1st through 5th grade students wowed the audience with their concert Curtains Up, a celebration of songs from the screen to the stage. Students in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade sang and danced to songs from films, including “Pure Imagination” and “Un Poco Loco,” while 4th and 5th graders performed Broadway favorites like “My Favorite Things” and “For Good.”
Friends and family in the audience cheered on the performers, celebrating the students’ hard work and confident self-expression. Bravo to all of the amazing musicians!
