Klara Klotzbach, Class of 2026

There was never a quiet moment in the audience for the Oakwood High School performance of The Play That Goes Wrong. The physical and prop comedy in the farce brought a new meaning to the word comedy. The cast did a wonderful job portraying the small cast of the Cornley Drama Society putting on an impressively chaotic production of The Murder at Haversham Manor. Both casts did an incredible job portraying the over-the-top characters and executing the many comedic aspects of the play. From being lifted while lying on two poles to “accidentally” repeating a scene… more than once… the actors flawlessly brought these improbable situations to life. The set design for this production brought everything together with its skillfully crafted falling walls and bookshelves. Not only was the set beautiful, but it was also equally impressive as everything started to go wrong, and the audience watched as the set slowly collapsed to the floor. Thank you to everyone who helped with both the construction and painting of the set. The production wouldn’t have been complete without all of their hard work. Overall, The Play That Goes Wrong was a memorable production that made everyone’s hard work apparent, guided by the remarkable direction of senior Klara Klotzbach and the stage management of sophomore Luke Titi. Tremendous thanks to Mrs. Blanchard, who never fails to support and inspire everyone around her. This performance of The Play That Goes Wrong brought the audience another level of joy that made the production so memorable.
