Triumph on the Court: Boys Varsity Tennis Season Highlights
The Oakwood High School Boys Varsity Tennis Team enjoyed a highly successful season this year, culminating in some impressive achievements. They emerged victorious in the Pacific Coast Athletic (PCAL) League with a commanding 10:1 record and proceeded to the playoffs, where they faced Carmel High School. In a thrilling match, they secured a hard-fought 4:3 victory to advance to the Central Coast Section Team Championships. Although the team faced a tough defeat in the first round against Lynbrook HS, every player demonstrated exceptional skill and commitment, making us incredibly proud of their efforts. Simultaneously, the team participated in the individual and doubles PCAL tournament held in Hollister, where they showcased their talent once again. Aarush Admala claimed the singles PCAL championship and his younger brother Arnav Admala took 2nd place, while Max Pham and Arnav Praveen teamed up to secure the PCAL doubles championship, adding further glory to the team's achievements this season. Congratulations to all the players for their outstanding performances and dedication throughout the season.
