Oakwood Community Gathers to Celebrate Thanks & Giving

Thanks & Giving is an Oakwood School community service project that encompasses our educational goal of being community contributors through respect, service, cooperation, and good citizenship.

This meaningful event recognizes the opportunity to reach out to those in our community who are less fortunate. This year, our Oakwood community donated 260 food bins and an additional $529 to Community Solutions - representing 3120 meals! Each food bin will provide a local family with the contents for an entire Thanksgiving family meal.

In addition, our 2nd-grade class collected 998 books from their book drive for the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Morgan Hill.

The Oakwood community gathered together today for a special all-school assembly that included messages of gratitude, songs of thanksgiving, and the presentation of donated items to Community Solutions and the Alpha Gamma Chapter.

A special thanks to our premier supporters: Home Depot and Target, and to our additional donors: Costco, Safeway, Nob Hill, and Trader Joe's.

Thank you to everyone that continually contributes their time, talents, and generosity to make our community flourish.
