The School Day
The school day varies by grade.

Please note: If students need to be on campus before or after their official school day, we provide care for students in preschool through 8th grade.
Before and After school Programs
Class Periods
Preschool/JrK/Kindergarten: Oakwood offers various sessions. Class periods vary depending on the session in which the child is enrolled.
Grades 1-5: the regular elementary school day is comprised of seven periods.
Upper School: the middle and high school schedule is eight periods per day on regular days and four block periods plus one extra single period on block days. There are generally two block days per week. Block A (Wednesdays) is periods 1, 2, 3, and 5 plus Advisory. Block B (Thursdays) is 4, 6, 7, and 8 periods plus BOOST/Assembly. BOOST is a time for students to meet with teachers for extra support, make up tests, or have quiet study time. Assemblies are generally scheduled monthly.
