Important Dates and Deadlines

January 9, 2024 - Application and scholarship deadline for the 2024-2025 school year

January 27, 2024 - Oakwood admissions exam (applicants to 6-12th Grade)

January 31, 2024 - Financial Aid application deadline

February 1, 2024 - Academic records/teacher recommendations deadline*

February 10-15, 2024 - Student admissions interviews (via Zoom, applicants to 6-12th Grade)

Applicants who apply by the January 9 deadline will receive their admissions decision via email at 5:00pm on Friday, March 15, 2024.

*Please note that applicants to Kindergarten-5th Grade must have these items submitted in order to schedule assessment appointments, shadow visits, and parent interviews, so we encourage you to submit these items as soon as possible.

Application Requirements

Preschool/Junior Kindergarten

Online admissions application ($75 fee)
Upload student photo
Meet age requirements (preschool students must be 3 years old, and JrK students must be 4 years old by November 30)
Child must be fully potty trained by entrance date
Teacher recommendation (for applicants who are currently enrolled in a preschool program)
Parent interview with the Admissions Director or Preschool and Junior Kindergarten Director

Kindergarten

^Oakwood is committed to partnering with families to put an exceptional education within reach through need-based financial aid for those that qualify. If the application fee is a financial hardship for your family, please contact the Admissions Office to inquire about a fee waiver.

1st Grade

Student Shadow Visit - one day visit in an Oakwood class

6th – 8th Grade (Middle School)

Academic transcripts (two years plus current year grades as available)
Admissions exam hosted at Oakwood's campus on January 27, 2024
Students may submit the ISEE in lieu of Oakwood's entrance exam. Scores must be received by February 15, 2024.

9th – 12th Grade (High School)

International Students

Oakwood School welcomes applications from students outside the United States, and appreciates the diversity that these students bring. In order to ensure the best possible program for these students and their families, Oakwood has partnered with Cambridge Network. The Cambridge Networks’s international student program prepares students for life abroad prior to arriving at Oakwood and continues to provide international students and their families with on-going support throughout the school year.
